have you tried linux?
WINE is an opensource software that allows you to run windows-based programs on linux. You can, for example, run Office 2007 (which is a windows xp program) on Ubuntu linux if you have WINE 1.1 on it. It is not an operating system. It is a compatibility software.

have you tried linux?
I havent tried linux, not even in another computer. I will surely not install it at my pc, i dont wanna have problems with drivers and applications, but i would much like to see how it performs at computers of other people. I have heard its stable, and effective, but honestly i dont wanna have problems with programs and drivers.

I have used linux which I have on my computer using virualization. I do not have to reboot in order to use it. I have vmware that allows me to move from one os to another without rebooting. I have also tried virtualbox which basically does the same thing. If I get the funds to buy a new computer then I will go by the route of xen which is a faster virtualization than either vmware or virtualbox.

No... Sad part is that, I am so involved in Windows, I did not get a chance to work with linux. I would request anyone to post a good site where I can download Linux, I heard that it is not so user friendly. I am very much eager to hear from you
