I have a new Windows Server 2008 system and am playing with Hyper V for the first time.
I have multiple clients at a remote location that need to share an MS Access database (they won't let me move them to SQL yes) that it housed where this new server is going. App V will be a long range solution, but for now I want to give them access to VMs. Prior to the last server dying, they were using the admin TS sessions on a Server 2003.
What is the thinnest Windows OS that can run Access 2007 in a VM? We have licenses for 2000, 2003, 2008, XP, Vista, and software assurance gives us licenses for Windows 7.
The server is a Dell T410 w/1 e5520 CPU and 6G RAM.
What Windows OS performs best as a VM in Hyper V?

I would probably go with Server 2003 if you're planning on using it for a terminal server. Don't forget you will only get two RDP connections without a TS license.
