T-mobile phone warranty/insurance.?

This question applies to T-mobile.

So I saw somewhere on the internet that If your phone is defective twice within a period of time, say 2 months and its attributed to software errors, you can switch the phone for another model? Does anyone have any more information about this? Is it true? under what conditions is this held? does the phone chosen have to be an older model?

With insurance you can get a new phone for just $50. With warranty, warranty sends you a refurbished phone same make & model as you have now.Warranty covers up to 1 year.
