I too am in that boat. I have been looking for sometime now to find something that would generate income working from home. Most of the stuff I have looked at are scams. Knowing this has not stopped me from continuing the search. Just a word of caution-if it sounds to good to be true it is probably not true. hello,My mom got scammed twice. 1. Sarah Cooper's Quick Paid Surveys - she paid $55 to join. All they provided was a list of research companies that had last been updated TWO years before. She requested a refund before the 60 day period but they have never responded. Survey companies don't mention that most surveys do not pay $25 per survey. Moreover, you can fill out hundreds of surveys (like my mom did) and never earn one dollar. 2. Another company, I can't recall the name. She paid $50 to be an online Data Processor. The job entailed typing ads and then posting them online. She would "make money" only if someone clicked on an ad she had typed and made a purchase. She also requested a refund but did not get it. What I have learned from this is to NEVER PAY TO GET A JOB. I have 3 children and have also been researching "work at home opportunities". I signed up at www.YouData.com and made $3.29 my first 15 minutes clicking ads. YouData pays about $0.20 per ad. Based on your profile YouData send ads every 2-3 days. It's not a lot of money but small amounts from multiple sources can add up. Some companies (www.Clixsense.com, www.hits4pay.com,, www.DealsNCash.com) pay $0.01 or $0.02 per ad that you click. Check out www.workathomecareers.com,, www.workathomenoscams.com,, www.onestopwebemployment.com,, www.workathometruth.com for some solid leads. These sites do not claim to make you a millionaire, they just give you leads. It is totally your responsibility to check out a company before you sign up for anything. I have been unable to take advantage of some offers because they are only available in the US and I live in the Caribbean. Also, ALWAYS check out a company at www.bbb.org where you can get a report that shows if the BBB has received complaints about a company and how they were resolved. If you use Firefox, there is a WOT (I think it means Web of Trust) add-on that lets you know if a site you're visiting is reliable and trustworthy. Most people seem to want reward without any work (hence the thousands who are scammed by believing that they can earn $10,000 per month without any effort). I have recently resigned from a job I had for 3 years already due to being tired all the time and would rather stay home to watch my son.
